Hello guys,
I have been kicking around a way to make a semi scale track adjuster for the LVT's. It will allow some movement and also put adjustable tension on the tracks like the real ones did. Hope to have a prototype done by the end of the weekend. I will post pictures here when I have it done.

Oh Nice one, Herman, I was wondering about this and getting track tension worked out. Be glad to see pictures. Did you get the links I sent you in a P.M.

Yes, I did get the links and they are awesome! I am still going over the pictures of the static build. I have also found an LVT 4 that is in a local (hour and a half away) museum. I hope to get there by the end of the month to see if I can inspect it.

Ok progress again. I finished fabricating the Brass suspension mounting brackets. Just waiting for wheels to arrive then it'll be drop a gear and get going. You can see in the first picture how I intend to mount the wheels with a Hardenend and tempered steel wire for suspension. Hard thing is working out how much tension to put on it. Also refering to HL models and the like the front and rear road wheels all seem to have a stronger spring so may double up the wire.

Hello Nick, I am really liking the road wheel suspension you have devised. What are you going to be using for your road wheels? If they are not a common item I hope you don't mind sharing the source for them, as I would like it.
Your build is really looking good.

Herman I traded some panzer spares with 'scrap hunter' off the forum, he's sending me a bag of 'multi rollers' I havnt seen them yet. Original idea was to use Pnz 3 or 4 return rollers. Or I tried 10 ml syringes filled with resin, as in the picutre above. Basically anything cylindrical about 15 - 16 mm would do it. Even thought of dowel but I don't think that would be durable enough. Not sure where the rollers are sourced but be happy to share once I do.

I have thought of making some, but the thought of getting something pre-made is more appealing for some reason. I really do like making things though. Because of the track I'm using I cant use a solid road wheel, they will have to be split. I know I will find something that will make me happy sooner or later. I was thinking of getting some German Pz II or III road wheels in 1/16 scale. I don't know their diameter though.
