no video :(
Rob59 wrote: Sat Aug 17, 2024 5:18 pm This is how I did rebuild my Taigen Tiger 1 into an Initial Production, tactical number 100.
Has been a lot of work and still not done yet!
Still must add the big white Balkenkreuzen on each side of the upper hull, and some stuff here and there, slight weathering and altering.
The oxide red on the first roadwheels is not that orange in real, the cell phone messes up the colors a little bit :/
Needed a lot of research too to get it in the way you see in the pics, and this is the most scale build tank I have!
In the video from Jofaur86 above, you can see the original no.100 being shown in Leningrad to the Russian people, at about 38.24 minutes or so.

just WOW.

I like this tiger a lot. where did you get boxes? and what elements need to be changed in stock hl tiger for this one?

As far as I understand, Tiger 100 was not one tiger with such boxes?

I would like to thank you. guys, for not ignoring my topic. I'm very pleased. really, thank you.

Regarding the topic - I realized that it is worth taking dual current gearboxes from heng long. and I have already ordered them. the metal version turned out to be quite expensive. around 250 dollars.
very interesting to test it.
Should I change the title of the topic?

your tiger is simply beautiful. I read your entire thread. and after that I decided to buy dual current gearboxes. I really hope they drive as slowly as your dklm :)

In the pic with both your Tigers, it seems to me that the sprocketwheels on both tanks are are too high!
Just compare the picture with the drawing of the Tiger in the next post following your picture.
Re-adjust the torsion bars again, so the roadwheels do come slightly higher, which makes it look like the sprocketwheels do come lower.
You understand what I mean?
yes, I understand.
Unfortunately. taigen does not have the ability to fine-tune the torsion bars. as soon as the new gearbox arrives. I'll take it apart again and return it to its normal position.

Regarding aero-mate - I raised it a little higher, because I have a problem with tigers in my head. Now I'll try to show it in the photo.

Thank you. That's an interesting description. I was referring to using an external regulator."

You can use an external ESC with the 7.1 board to run Brushless, BUT you need the right ESCs or the tank basically becomes impossible to drive. I don't know which ESCs those are as I've tried several brushless ones and never got an ESC that worked good for my tanks. The issue on the ones I used were the dead bands were set up for cars or crawlers. It meant there was a bunch of lag when using the sticks. Second issue was with reversing as most of them had brakes built in that couldn't be fully removed, required the motors to be completely stopped before reversing, or required extra stick movement to enter reverse. I gave up after buying and trying 3 different ESCs. Doesn't mean it won't work for you though. It was suggested to me to use a flight controller, but I never tried that.
O. thank you very much for your answer! I'll definitely try tk7.1
At the moment, I have a very large number of parts from Tiger1 from different manufacturers.
and there is also a pantiger (I don’t understand what to do with it).

I currently have two working tigers.

one is from aero-mate. it's already on the go, but not detailed because I don't know what kind of tiger to make from it.

and the second is a mix of taigen and mato.
lower hull and turret is taigen, upper hull is mato. it is painted to match 334, but no upgrades have been made.

I really don’t want to cut the aero-mate tiger. but what can be made of it? 334. for example?

taigen\mato cutting is no longer such a pain, but I don’t really know how to cut it neatly and how to add a pistol port. (I ordered port form mato)

plus. I don't really like the position of the wheels on the taigen.

ps. I don't know if this matters. taigen\mato parts were purchased more than 5 years ago. judging by what is sold on aliexpress, it’s not worth it, and there the body is already sold separately with mudguards.
Perhaps Taigen also had some changes.
My taigen trough has a henntec tensioner installed
