Let me see if I can reply to your all-too-kind remarks and questions.

Here's everything I know about the Schmeisser 44: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/StG_44 I.e. I used it out of total ignorance because it came with the Licmas figure.

Yes I painted the tracks. I did not use much rust as this is a tank in the desert for as long as it lasted. I did use multiple thinned coats of a North African Sand color, likely by Vallejo. Then I sealed it all with Testor's Dullcote. I purposefully wear off the parts of the tracks that would contact hard surfaces by rubbing the tracks on the concrete basement floor and/or driving the tank on the same.

I have not added any markings yet until I can be sure to have accurate ones. Besides, I get the impression markings didn't last long anyway.

In all, this was a super-simple build compared to most here on RCTW.
