Unfortunately, it looks like it.

I think this is an area for many modifications, such as converting the drive to two motors and changing the tracks to metal ones (from Asiatam).

Looking forward to seeing one of these in the flesh. Always wanted a 251

I found it to be super smooth. It only has one motor, and not sure if it works with some sort of clutch or differential, but it does drive smoothly, and at a decent speed. I like it.
But of course this is one of those toys that I say that are made for driving from the living room to the kitchen. I'd never use it over grass, mud, pebbles, sand and so on.
