A bit more done.
The numbers & all important patriotic slogan are done. Was not easy to get the "20 years of Soviet Uzbekistan" into paint, but its on & near enough.
The wheels are on and things are now looking uniform.
Its sealed too, so its on for weathering from here.
I'm confident once its all washed etc that the white letters will subdue quite well.

Looks good. Now *if* it were mine I think I would've put the two replaced wheels on the side of the vehicle where the fender is ripped apart. It would make it look like it got hit on that side damaging the fender and those wheels so they had to be replaced. But that is just me.

You are spot on with my mindset too, but the one in the picture has all solids so it made me deviate, that said, as there were more than just one machine painted such, I may still move the wheels to the appropriate station

Temporary plastic tracks on.
First touch of weathering too.
Vallejo Russian Splash Mud first, with a bit of Mig Russian Earth pigment into the mix.
Lots under the lower hull & behind the roadwheels.
A touch of snow will also be in order............

Still lots to do in order to get the stark look of the period picture, but now I have the feeling of it at least.
