I cut the side hatches in 2mm styrene and one of the upper side: At forgebear I ordered this transmission covers for Panther G and looks good in the hull side. Compared with those of Heng Long: Size comparison VK vs Heng Long Panther: As I commented, I started the construction few months ago and there may be discrepancy between the uploaded photos and the current 3d model on onshape. This is the aspect of the entire model when I took the photos, with the gun barrel, muzzle break and an initial versión of the mantlet:

A small but very important step forward to face the final assembly of the hull, I have finally finished the rear plate that required so many bevels (3 in front and 3 behind). Some photos of the assembly without gluing:

What a beauty! I've always liked the way these things looked. Small but so stocky! Your camo is very nice too! A great build of a very rare design. How I missed this until just now I'll never know!

I update the thread with new progress.

Lower front, right hull side and rear plate glued togheter. I also added a reinforcement at each corner: And this is how the right motor would look like: And as you can see I have very little space from side to side of the hull to place both engines, so much so that after much measuring and checking they will fit with just a couple of millimeters of separation in its closest part (marked in yellow in the next photo). If you look closely I had to bend out the motor terminals so that they do not "bother" the other motor: I could have reduced the distance between the motor and the inner face of the hull but that would have led to the shaft sticking out more than it should, messing up the whole wheel distribution and the idler. Remember that the running gear is based on the Heng Long Panther and the distance that the shaft protrude is the same as that model, 27 millimeters (outside of the hull - end of the axle).

On the other hand, I keep adding details to the 3D model, maybe they will never make it to the physical model, but I have a lot of fun modeling them and getting them ready for a possible resin printing: Detail of the antenna support, in various scales (1/16, 1/35 and 1/72) :

A friend printed in 3d all parts of the upper: Additionally I also designed these custom brackets for the bearings I plan to put in motor shaft: For now I have glued three wheel axle brackets to see if they will hold in place with the glue I have used (revell contacta profesional, the blue one): After the assembly I have realized that the diameter of the holes of the axle bracket is too small and it is quite difficult to screw the arm, so I will give them a pass with the drill to avoid breaking the piece. Concretely it is this diameter: So I've made it a little bigger in the CAD design.

I have finished gluing all the arm brackets and bolted on the rest of the wheels: I cut out the first two brackets to make space for the motor frame. I refer to this collision: On the other hand, we have suffered the first problem in the design of a part. In the idler wheel arm, wanting to look for the maximum realism, I made the cylinder where it is screwed too thin. In the picture you can see I don't have enough material "to hug" the bolt and it broke down: I have redesigned the part and will print it with as much padding as possible, as it is critical and will be subjected to great stress. My idea is, apart from gluing it to the hull, to screw it from the side of the hull to give more consistency to the joint:
