I am pretty sure there is a demand as there is for a lot of other vehicles in 1/16, not all of which are R/C which I suppose makes them"Other Topic"

Martin that Blitz more than exceeds my standards

You dont need me to tell you that.
You should market a few Blitz for others here. No need to share wide open as it gives a few lucky ones a close to unique model.
After this 251 is done, the next halftrack is Sd.kfz.10, then a famo.
I do wish to complete a Willys Jeep in between these.
The list is soooo long its mad. Just going to keep going and take my time and hopefully only stop when I dead lol
Take care guys

I have always wanted a German WW2 Half track but for reasons I cannot understand they are not readily available
So the question is do you have a Production target and a rough price for the 251 and what plans for a FAMO which is probably the holy grail of half tracks
And one day the backbone of the German Army's logistics an affordable Opel Blitz needs to be available to complete the transportation system,
Is there any hope for such a truck

If I can pull my finger out, end of January would be a good starting point. But Gary otherwise known as Max U52 gets the first proper build as he has already invested quite a bit in the development to help me design it. It be great to get some pictures and video soon of it complete

Have you given any thought to a particular Control board for the Half Track ? Not that I would expect it to come pre-fitted but hopefully it would be ready to except one,
The Elmod Board for Torro's M16 is a nice but not cheap readily available board specific to Half Tracks but perhaps it is too wide/long for the SD,Kfz Ausf,C.
I do not think I read if you are excepting orders for the vehicle?
If you are I will happily offer a deposit via Pay-Pal.

We have a list of 12 down so far for the 251, but need to finesse first before saying we are ready.
No need for deposit, we will let you know.
Board I am not sure of, but I checked some other boards and they are massive. I think we will check space once fully assembled.

YeeeHah! I have been amazed that there has been so much attention to the Kubelwagen and Schwimmwagen (all fine by me), but the ubiquitous Jeep has been overlooked in 1/16. Yes! Yes! Oh, Yes! Do it!

A small update!
I have been waiting parts to arrive, unfortunately they got lost in post, so more parts on order so i have struggled to get this to a point of doing any testing.
Anyway i did muster 1 test although half heartedly as could only get one track fitted!
The track is not tensioned, the roadwheels are not set with any springs so the track is loose and the flanges for the idlers and sprockets are not fitted, so nothing to keep it in place. Plus i never aligned the wheels so its all a little off.
Then decided to direct wire a 3s lipo to the motor and throw it on the garden.
Obviously a few things to remember like it should be run on 2s lipo, the tracks will be tensioned and can be with my own design setup.
The wheels and ilders have flanges aswell and the roadwheels do have fully working torsion sprung suspension.
I call this test a success, i can't wait to actually get hold of the parts which are in the post! I may just test with 3s anyway to push it beyond limits for others to see.
Tracks are going to be a pain, the one fitted in the video is a metal asiatam chain, but they are very expensive.
I hope in the near future we will have more suppliers of tracks for these, but that is why we need to develop these models to see if suppliers follow with upgrade parts!

Optional extra hahhahahahhaa
When these orderedparts arrive I will fix it all up and get a video driving with it completed.
I have to say even tho it was a bodged test, that front suspension and articulating axle worked a treat.
I am getting impatient for the drive parts and springs to arrive so I can test more properly.
We also have a plan which will allow for a metal drive sprocket to help improve the drive.
More to come
