I've heard that the Asiatam Famo also needs quite a bit of after work to get it running reliably. If you are going to fork out that kind of money I think it should be ready to roll without needing to do anything to it, any new or previously unseen offerings in 1/16 would be welcomed to be honest

Anyway I would prefer second choice of Famo rather than tenth version of Tiger.

It is not quiet right...
You have a lot to do!
I built two Asiatam Famo.
The chassis alone is a major challenge ...
There is nothing in line, the tracks run off after a short distance.
Every body who get a Asiatam Famo, which is running out of the package is a very lucky man!
He should then fill out and hand in a lottery ticket.

And pot metal tends to break.

Thank you for the review jhamm I had heard about its problems but wasn't quite sure what the extent of the work needing doing to it

I have a crusader and a cromwell so I vote Matilda or centurion, and just because I’m an arse I would like to see it when we start up again at Nuneaton

Centurion. By common consent, one of the best tanks ever made.
Otherwise, Christian (Ludwig) does offer excellent versions of the Cromwell, Comet, (I've built 'em both) and Churchill- it wouldn't hurt
to have a viable alternative perhaps not in the flat-pack (sheet) format.
The Churchill had numerous variants, and would give greater scope for the compulsive 'modder' to come up with a non-mainstream model. (Crocodile, for example) :think

And cheaper would help

A challenger 1 would be nice
