I have made some mods to the tank tidy to allow better routing of the pipes and let the battery sit on the hull floor to lower it a bit

I have also moved the screw holes for the top plate moving it back more.
As I had not designed the barrel to smoke as well as flash I had to strip the clear sleeving off the flash unit wires to allow a piece of pipe to fit in along side it I also made a new set of flash holders to allow the smoke past them it also makes the flash unit sit further down the barrel so I printed it with translucent filament so as to allow the unit to light it up

It fitted very snugly with a thin piece of tube in the barrel with a small elbow holding it in place wedged next to the servo with the sillicone tube going off to the smoke chamber all making sure that it does not get obstructed when its all assembled.
As you can see its a bit cramped in there but nothing fouls and after a bit of tweeking with the recoil servo arm link to help move all the wires and pipe better its up and running.

The final bit of electrics was to fit the power switch and charge port and I added a switch for the barrel smoker

This is mounted with 2 screws from below just a matter of drilling a couple of holes,

All hidden behind the rear hatches

So there it is 99% done just a couple of details to finish then I will start something else as long as the wife lets me

I always look forward to seeing new rc tank videos! It’s perfect rc tank entertainment for a rainy Sunday here in Illinois. The smoke feature is very cool and the sounds are nice as well. Awesome model.

Looks like your 'cunning plan' succeeded beautifully!

It was well worth the investment in time, inspiration, tech expertise and- judging by the barrel, a packet of fags too

(Tell the Kommandant to give 'em up!).
