Great build thread, as a novice just getting my teeth into this the most daunting part seems to be the recoil and elevation system.

How difficult was the DKLM all metal elevation and recoil system to fit? I think I'd much prefer it over plastic.

The recoil kit is pretty easy to fit but you may well need to get busy with files and fine wet 'n' dry to make sure everything is as smooth as possible on the insides

Well, still waiting for a fully working TK60 so whilst I was sitting bored at home I finally decided to bite the bullet and scratch-build myself some gunsight doors based on a couple of reaonably detailed pics I managed to find. Mine are no-where near as detailed as some people's and they don't even move but thanks for the inspiration Kames Canham (Armoured Models) and Sponge First, the real thing:

So I started with the commanders "bird house" sight - should have used much thinner plasticard though as it's way to thick to be to scale

.......then the main gun sight;-

and finally the secondary gun sight - this was much harder as it's thicker and is shaped like a Toblerone!

Thanks mate but from an artistic viewpoint I don't have anywhere near the skills/attention to detail that some of the guys on here do Just doing the best I can and learning as I go

How do you like the PDSGB unit? Was it difficult to connect to the mfu? I’m still waiting for mine for my Tiger 1.
