While researching some final details for the T-34/76 I happened upon this translated into English from German. It was a Panzer operators take on the Russian tanks especially the T-34/76 that I'm working on.

I found it quite interesting and although a bit one sided it does give one a glimpse into the eyes of someone who firsthand experienced this tank and others in battle.Image

Mr Bix that is truly unique and one of a kind for sure. I have never seen anything like it. I assume they built some type of framework and forms to fit all that concrete? Image

I could imagine using some styrofoam sheets to make the concrete in 1:16 scale and then building it up. Image

Oddly enough I was going to use actual concrete. The same stuff I used on my StuGIII but with steel reinforcing set into it to reduce brittleness.
Would be a well-cool tank to build for sure.

Image that would be one challenging and realistic build up Mr Herman. You've got my gears turning about in my head as I visualize this concrete beast.

So with a bit of progress and a few adult beverages I was able to add the spare parts and so a bit of a wash. I added the Peddinghaus decals ( that drove me crazy due to thier excessive thickness!)

The balkencruz on each turret side started as a decal and ended as hand painted. Image

I've always beenen fond of these decals when they were thin, but now they are very thick. I may have to change my source.

I got the Panzer outside this evening.

Thanks for looking
