Hi Painless,
Hope you are well my friend,
Yep me to checking that all the parts are there. All seams ok this kit has the servos I thought it might be the same as my T55 that has the same recoil and elevation units as the Tamiya kits. So I will have to go the Elmod or other way with this one. So I'm in uncharted waters here. So if you have any thoughts on witch way I should go it would be a great help as I've never used this system before. Brian...

Brizo!, Good morning,
I gave some thought to this, about using the Hooben MFU but ultimately decided to go with an upgrade. When I start the build, I am going to use one of Tankbear's IBU2\TX combos that he sells. That will give excellent motor and recoil performance along with great sound file usage.
regards,
Painless

Brizo!,
You and I will be learning together. I think I want a Turnigy model TX. I'll go with Tankbear's recommendations when the time comes.

Brizo,
I saw it in the background of another one of your tank's threads. It looked great! I'll keep an eye on the suspension when I build it. I'll be using an IBU. Haven't decided whether to use a 2 or a 3.

Brize, Painless,
May I put in my thoughts ?
The general opinion is that the "Turnigy 9xr" is inferior to the now out of production "Turnigy 9x",
The good news is that Turnigy 9x is merely Hobbykings rebranding of the "Flysky FS-TH 9x" which is still in production and is still readily available, The Receiver of one is exactly the same receiver as the other and Hobby king are still selling them and much cheaper than Flysky's own .
Do be careful that you don't get the "Fsky" Transmitter, it is a different maker and not all that good,
The Manual is available to download on line and the instructions apply to both the Turnigy and the Flysky Transmitters.
.If you go to "U"Tube there is a lot of useful input to see.
Shaun.

Nice radios but only 6 channels and I found that 9 channels still leaves you wanting more :lolno:
Also you can down load directly from the Computer to the radio with the Turnigy 9x and the Flysky FS-TH-9x which means Tank specific software can be loaded without any effort on your behalf.
