I used a soldering iron to heat up the underside of the plastic front mud flaps and bent them with pliers, the shell holes were made again with a soldering iron with tip chopped off and a small hole drilled in the end, so when you push the iron into the plastic it looks like the round is melted into the hull, I saw this on a Panther parked up on a trailer in Folkstone earlier this year. I will posted a better picture of this later. The rest was with a dremal sanding disk bounced off the hull to give random dents.

The point is you are going to enjoy building, reading forums on how to's, and being part of the Tank community, I've learnt a lot over the past three years and one tip I would say is to practice your technique on odd bits of plastic before you attack your tank.

Thats looking good, every time I see your's and Ravens updates I realise that I have more to do. Where did you get the small chain for the MG cover and barrel brush lid please? I was toying with the idea of cutting up one of my wifes necklaces, that would have been a last minute mod before one second after cutting it up, spraying the evedence and then denying all knowledge of ever seeing it (or blaming our daughter).

Raven, top idea for the tow cables by the way, as you can see I need to do those on my tank.

Phil,checked out your website and the APOXIE SCULPT website,you have done some very skilled work sir.And if I understand the product you suggest is pliable and workable with a little water,does it ever crack,or flake after drying? I also noticed a metal based product in multiple color have you also used these products? Once again great looking group of armor,class act.SAX

Apoxie Sculpt is really good its like using clay, good for those gaps between arms on figures wet it, then sculpt!
It doesn't crack or flake, I tried to chip some Zimmerit off my King Tiger.. After attacking it with a hammer I thought I better stop before I destroy the hull and re touched the paint work!

I also use it for weld marks and its OK on Heng Long plastic, as long as you key the plastic with sand paper and go over with a rag with lighter fuel or brake cleaner before adding Zimmerit, don't need to sand down for weld marks.

I haven't used any other of the product you have mentioned, the Apoxie Sculpt I bought is about three years old now, a bit dry but once it is mixed well its fine, I can send you some if you like, PM me with your address.

Phil,Hi Blake here(saxondog) did you say you still have three sets of drive shafts,and these work on the JAGDPANTHER using low profile gear boxes for a PANZER-III? I may be interested,if so we can work out the post cost to where it's no hassle for you,PM me about this matter please.And your JAGDPANTHER LOOKS GREAT,WELL DONE.I was also wondering which type of paint you use?And have you looked into the new child board on painting and weathering? You could contribute alot to that section considering the work you have done,from what I saw on your site.Cheers for now,Blake
