Going to be a great looking tank. Really nice work on the gun. All down hill from there.

Apparently, we also differ in the concept of respect for our elders, (or lack thereof). Good job on the template, though. Must have been "inherited insight."

Worked on the rotor shield (mantlet? - I hear there is an issue there). Also worked on fenders/under hangs and diffuser.

Received a package from Hawaii. Either a care package, or somebody needs help posting pictures.

Good evenin',
Tremendous work done so far. Mantlet looks tall but I am thinking scale elevation and declination so it is fine. Following along. ;o)

LOL...That issue you speak of Ecam...was really not the issue

Your Bro threw that one in (a lesson for all of us) while everyone was discussing the two flaps on the rotor shield when I was doing my Sherman build....The rotor Shield wasn't available then(except in resin ..which was a tad small for the HL turret)...so I made one out of copper...those flaps became a point of discussion....and to this day... are still an enigma

...............
Yours is a Mantlet...on the old Sherman the front piece is the rotor shield...the part that mounts to the front of the turret behind the rotor shield is the Mantlet...Go Figure lol
Here's a photo

Now if you have any idea of what or why those two flaps on the side of the gun are there for...there are many of us
who would appreciate your input

...For some reason some had them and some didn't

By the way....that build is really coming along
