Nice work Gary,
One tip (from a ex-film major): Before shooting, bring your camera in as tight as you can, focus, then zoom out. Everything on that plane will always be in focus unless the camera or subject moves. It's the easiest way to avoid constantly adjusting focus as you change from a wide to tight shot.
Works for stills too, the tighter the shot, the better the focus, then zoom out to frame.
