Finally getting some paint on the tank!
Had some problems with the suspension and had busted one of my gearboxes (really need to be carefull that you install those axel supports properly!!!!).
But fixed it with a Tiger 1 Lower hull with gearboxes from Forgebear. Stripped the hull of its suspension and gearboxes and put it in the KV-1. Maybe not the cheapest way, but was tired of searching for suspension in wain and it was a fairly good deal and it was the last things needing to be done to get to painting!
Giving it all a basecoat of dark green, followed by a lighter coat of light green. Hope I have enough left for the upper hull!!

Hey there Arnie...good to see you back ....Now...is it me...........or is that a really really ghoulish Frankenstein kind of green you got there?
Did you go see the new Star Wars ?...Did you hear about the guy that got beat down because he revealed the end at the premier ?
And did you ever locate springs for your Panzer IV? I ask because I finally found a place that carries them
Merry Chrimbos to you and yours..

Never found proper springs for the PzIV. please do tell what you found

The green, is the same as on my test hull, that seemed to be to most peoples liking. Might just be the lighting and lack of wash/blending that makes it look weird
And yes I saw it. Had a "Troop" at a local cinema on the premiere.
didnt hear about that guy getting beaten though, but hey... Dont mess with the nerds. We are scary as hell

It isn't that there is dislike...it's just really really Green

...it's all good though...my fav color is green lol...and it's just a base coat...I'm sure your talents will win it over

LOL....Had a hunch

...I didn't get to see it yet...but I've heard it's a worth while view
The guy that got beat down...the story I got was...He went to the Premier ....when it let out...as he was exiting the theater ...YELLED out the ending...to which three other guys standing in line to enter beat the heck out of him....Here's the kicker..the guy ends up in the ICU....and the police that handled it pressed no charges...logged it in as a "justified" incident

Not since the Panzer IV was haunted, but I cleared that away
I had actually found those springs myself, but havent bought them, because I'm pretty sure its the springs from the Taigen/metal suspension "upgrades" wich I already have...and they suck...

Well those are guarantee Heng Long...that company pretty much deals exclusive HL...their second line is Mato...they are not bad to deal with...they lost their last rep in the service area....which is unfortunate ...seems like the new rep is just getting the hang of things...pretty sure they'll mail stuff to you...those spring come direct from the manufacturer ...so they would probably be mailed from China ...just don't know what the shipping cost would be

Might be worth a try then. saw they had the same springs twice. First set cost 10$ (for PzIV) the other costs 15$ (for PzIV F2)... I'm pretty sure tere should be no difference in the suspension, between the two models
Another thing that had me sceptic, was that the only suspension arms they have, are the metal ones, like the Taigen arms... but upon closer inspection, they dont look entirely the same, so it might be a HL version...
