I have been keeping my eyes out there for a good deal on a used Sherman I will hack up. Nothing has popped up on Ebay just yet. Considering a T34 calliope, M10 or M36 conversion. Really just need a hull for the two.

Brizo,
The conversion kit came from Asiatam. They have the upgraded Profiline resin kits on their site: http://www.asiatam.com/index.php?cat=c5 ... g-III.html

Pale,
Keep an eye out on the Taigen Scratch and Dent page on their site. They get some pretty good deals to come across at times. http://www.taigentanks.com/scratchndentspecials-1/

Thanks for that Painless will keep a look out on there. I have a spare StUG top hull unit so just need the lower hull! Might go for the full metal one not made up me mind yet

Post came in from Germany today. Diorama Freak, packaged nicely and here exactly when stated. A pair of cool, metal front tow mounts and some extra metal and resin display bits for the roof. Now to sit down and order the rest of it. Pics:

Re: 1941 StuG III Ausf B
Well, yesterday the Post came and the day turned into a mix up of fun and aggravation. I had just learned online that Diorama Freak no longer ships to the U.S.A. right as I was about to purchase a couple of items from his Ebay store. I looked down on the auction page and saw the notation. Extremely aggravating as his stuff is primo and he has quite a few items just for Panzer and StuG IIIs. On to the Post: The donor tank came in, a Taigen 2.4 Panzer III, direct from Phoenix Hobbys, ( IMEX ) It was the wrong edition, a Pro, plastic version. *sigh* I sent an eMail yesterday and got on the horn today and spoke to Tara. Erik is out until Monday but she admitted that the item illustration and text on Amazon was incorrect and apologized. She noted that IMEX will do whatever is needed to fix this on Monday when Eric returns. I'm satisfied with that. Going from the aggravation to the fun side, I did get a great deal on some German soldiers to add to my collection of tank riders and diorama figures. Three from Amazon for 8.00 plus shipping. Also, a HUGE! help came from Sassgrunt with some hard to find and much needed components for the upcoming 1/6 Stuart build. Major thanks to you, Doc!!! So,only time was lost again this weekend. I believe that IMEX will come through for me and hopefully, even DF will reconsider and start shipping to the US again. It is Easter weekend so a couple more days off won't kill me, just my schedule. *chuckles* Happy Easter to all that celebrate it. Pics:

Herman,
This one runs 239 - 300 US depending on which outlet you get it from. It's typical Taigen, great paint, metal add-ons ( at least it will be once I get the one I bought ) torsion bars, 2.4 Ghz, etc. HL's version is what, 139 - 200 for their metal version ( tracks, sprockets, idlers and gearbox ). A guy can't go wrong with either. Depends on how much work and extra cash you want to put into one.

Painless

Ed,
Thank you, sir. It's taking forever but I actually will get work done and a StuG III early version will be the result. ;o)
