Ironcross, seems to me you need to decide which type of tank you you want as far as IR or BB so you can compare apples to apples. You will pay more for the same tank that has the IR system vrs the BB system, at least in the US. Most all of my tanks are Taigen. I have one Torro KV-2. The radio gear in both are identical. I can bind my Torro transmitter to any of my Taigen tanks and a Taigen transmitter to the Torro. The IR system allows you to do battle with other TAIGEN OR TORRO TANKS ONLY unless you change electronics including the IR battle system. Of the Taigen metal tanks I have (Sherman, KV-2, and T-34) they all have factory installed black steel gear boxes, IR battle system, metal tracks, wheels, idlers, drive wheels etc. The T-34 and Sherman have metal turrets and 360 degree rotation. In my opinion, as far as the quality goes between the Taigen and Torro, they are equal. They all have plastic top hulls. Here in the US we can't buy a tank in a crate unless we buy it from an international dealer. I hope this helps you some.
