Hi Iain

Hopefully we will see you there, so far we have TKCommander + 1, Bogeyman, and myself, so we should have enough tanks between us to put on a display. If anyone from oop North makes the trip then it will add to the numbers.

TK has found us a Scout Hall, it's in Temple Combe, is that somewhere that you can get to if we booked it for a Sat or Sunday?

Can now confirm that the South Somerset tank ranges are available to BAD.

The Scout Hut, Templecombe, BA8.

Just 50 mins from Bristol and the south coast towns of Dorset, it can make a suitable venue to many forum users that have expressed an interest to meet in the past.

I propose using it on the second Sunday of the month to avoid clashing with the other armoured divisions. Starting June. Sunday 14th June.

If agreeable I will book it up.

Put me down, it looks really good, nice bit of carpet to run around on too,

John - If you can get to mine, we can drive down together.

Thanks a lot for this Andy, it is just what we have been hoping someone would come up with. ;)

Cheers

Rob

Just bumping this up the new posts list, the Andy has booked the Scout Hall, so the meet is 100% definitely on. Anyone in the area is welcome to attend, the more the merrier. Nothing to sign, maybe a few pounds towards the hall hire but that's it, so a good day out 10-4, in the company of some nice friendly people.

See you there

Just spoke to organiser of the Thornbury show. He is sending me a booking form so that I can confirm number of passes and our requirements. Unless I hear about anyone else who is thinking of attending I will order six.

He also asked whether we use metal tracks, it's a laminated sports hall floor, and understandably they would like it to remain intact. He will see whether he can arrange some flooring for us, but in case he can't, it will either be case of no spinning of metal tracked tanks, supply our own floor covering, or keep metal tracked tanks on display only.

Mine are all plastic tracks, but not sure what you guys have got?

Cheers

George from MAD and a couple of friends likely to attend too.

Will be bringing a landing craft with Sherman to display and other bits and bobs.

Thanks for the update.

The numbers so far:

Rob + 1
Andy + 1
John
George +2

So that's 8, maybe I will ask for 10 and see how many they will give me?

I know at least one other who has said that he will visit the show, there would have been another but he has prior engagements. If anyone has scenery that would be most welcome.

We can discuss more details at the meet on the 14th.

Cheers

RobG

Just copying this post here

Location map:
https://www.google.com/maps/place/51%C2 ... !1s0x0:0x0

Scout Hut,
School Lane,
Templecombe,
BA8 0HP

The Scout Hut is located directly behind the Village Hall, up the lane by the primary school. Parking is available outside the village hall with additional parking at the bottom of school lane.

...as you drive into Temple Combe you pass under a bridge. Turn immediately left before the chip shop. Go up the lane 50 yards and turn left again. The scout hut is up there.

I know that these don't look anything like a barn roof, lol, but I have figured out a way to print them nine at a time. I'll get a shedload of them done and try and mount them on a piece of plywood so that they stay put. :P
