My Leopard is (let's say...) 95% complete. In running condition :) I still have a few tweaks and upgrades in mind...

One day after painting we visited a Model show in Bytom. As this is a scale-modelling show we were the only team with RC models:

What you see above in background is not a photo :)

A few more photos you'll find here - https://plus.google.com/u/0/photos/1112 ... 3869771761

And this weekend I had opportunity to meet with a friend and shoot a few movies :)

Now Leopard needs painting...again :(

I found a nice movie of stabilisation in action. Just one axis visible, but both were online :)

I've hope to lead a lot about the turret electronics and use than same idea for the challenge 2

Thank you for sharing how you did this with us all

I would say that electronics for this kind of solution is easy to deal with. You need two gimball brushless motors and gimball controll board (like alexmos). The problem is mechanical side. You have to turn your turret into a gimbal... which has to be perfectly balanced.
There is no problem to balance it horisontally, but to balance the barrel (counter gravity) you need to have a sort of counterweight and some kind of gear to increase motor torque. As you can see on my example - it can be done.
The problem is that everything must work smoothly, so I guess that you should not try it without access to decent workshop.

Hi,
Here is a sample what you can do with 360 degree camera and rc tank :)
Click and drag to look around.

Camera's owner blurred some sections for purpose, but still - I think the result is good.
