OK...NOT BUYING A TAIGEN LOL....that's a real bad deal...means they didn't even check it out...all they had to do was start it up...guess that was too much trouble for their tech
Ouch! Sorry to hear this. I'll keep buying my Taigens from Artistic. I can't believe that IMEX sent the same tank back to you with the issue unfixed. Phew!

I could see where they had changed the micro switch that fires the gun. When I manually closed the switch the gun fired but there was no barrel recoil. They must have had it apart because there were a lot of scratches on the barrel near the mantlet and I didn't send it to them that way. They didn't even try to touch them up. (very poor) I've got a bad taste in my mouth now about their customer support. Problem is that I have an IR Taigen Panzer IV and it works great. I purchased the T-34 because I liked it and thought it would make a good battling partner for the Panzer. I'm on a pre order list for their Sherman but I don't know now. Kinda stuck on what to do. I do have the HL Sherman but it's air soft. Any thoughts, anyone?

I bought my Panzer from Artistic. Do you know if Gene does in house repair for the Taigens. OR, if I had purchased it from him would he have fixed it or replaced it?
Jtracks,
I don't know if Gene does in house repair but I know that he provided me with a set of replacement idler arms for the KV-1 I bought from him that had a cracked arm. He definitely would have replaced it if he couldn't satisfy you any other way. Good luck, Doc. If you can't get any help from IMEX, I know that the folks here can get you up and running.

The Panzer IV has been around for awhile though... I hope this isn't going to be a trend with New Taigens...I agree...that is some terrible service... that's something you might get from a mom and pop store... who just carry product...but a Factory Rep...that's not good at all

Needless to say, I'm very disappointed. I was looking forward to running this tank. I understand the "new model" dilemmas and I was willing to take a chance on the T-34, but I don't think this falls into that category. I took the tank to Fed Ex this morning.
Here is an update for all who are interested. I received a full refund from Phoenix Model Company via Amazon.com on the Taigen T-34. Due to the fact I really wanted this tank, I called Gene at Artistic Hobbies and asked if he would be willing to give a new T-34 a good work out for me in his shop. He was, and told me after his report, I was under no obligation to buy. My new T-34 arrived yesterday. I ran it for about 40 minutes firing the main gun every minute or so. It works flawlessly.
