Only just noiced this thread, but would like to say that yes, you have built a good Tiger, especially at the first attempt.

The HL is an early version 'Tiger' but as reading the forum will tell you, it has its faults. As you know, you can go to the ends of the earth to make it perfect, but it depends on how much work you want to put into it. The best things in life are cheap or free, so here's a couple of easy fixes.

The frontal armour, HL made it a rectangular plate and left it at that. The top edges should be bevelled at each end, if you look at a Tamiya or a real one you will see what I mean.

The cupola has aready been mentioned.

If you want to do the rubber rims, there are two options, either Tamiya rubber paint which looks like rubber rather than matt black paint, or paint them in a bare earth colour, as they would get dirty in real life anyway. Easiest way to do wheels is put the tank on its side, gently hold the brush against the tyre, and slowly rotate the wheel, that way the brush stays steady and you get a nice close line up to the wheel rim.

The air filter hoses on the rear can be made more realistic by wrapping them in cotton, and then painting them with a suitable colour.

I well remember my HL Tiger, it became a mission, and what started out as a £50 tank, ended up without a single original part on it and cost me enough to pull the country out of the recession. :lolno:
