Taigen make a full plastic Tiger I(this is the basis of my Early Tiger), a version with the metal chassis and gearboxes but plastic weeks and tracks(this is the basis of my Late Tiger), and then there is the full metal version with metal running gear and tracks as well.

My guess is that Rich has the middle one of the three. :D
I'll take your word on it Scalawag....for the most part I just browse Taigen models... but most of the ones I've seen for that price are usually on the top end of Taigen's list
but that's here in the states... I think there in the UK it's a little higher ...I guess if I ever get a Taigen... it would be a good idea to ask the vendor what level the model is :D
