No sun today just steel grey skies and the north wind breathing snow. I fixed something on the 'Palace' yesterday which had been nagging at me recently like a hang nail or sore tooth. Also, once sorted, it gave me an opportunity to play with the camera again. Pictures:

I kept forgetting to ask... Painless, what paint did you use on this? Definitely my favorite colors here. Tamiya? Which numbers? I have XF60 for the Dark Yellow.... but the red is the hardest one to match for me.

Sov,
Apologies, I was out all day. I used Tamiya Medium Gray primer and followed up with Model Masters FS30266 Afrika Mustard 1955 as the base and Model Masters FS30117 Burnt Sienna and FS34087 Olive Grun for the rest of the camo scheme. These are enamel military flats. I was going to use Tamiya colors initially but the Rott Braun was too brown for what I was trying to emulate. Looking forward to seeing your excellent Tiger in paint.
regards,
Painless

I thought the same when I saw it in the hobby shop the other day!

I'm in love with the rotbraun you picked, thanks for the info brutha! ;D

As a side note, my hobby shop tank expert did say they mixed these colors in the field quite often so no two are perfectly alike. Provides some major level of comfort when shooting for "historic accuracy."

Sov,
Anytime and happy to be an Assist. ;o) I envy you your tank expert in your local shop. The guys in the Hobby Town that I visit are big Helo, Quad and Car guys. I expect that the preferences with expertise change out with the popularity of what is selling. When I retire here in a few years, I may go to work PT in a shop just to give Armor enthusiasts a fair go when they come in looking for stuff.
regards,
Painless

Did it ever occur to you Painless....that Wyland was saying he likes the KV2 better than the Pershing ;) ................... :D

Or...because of it's protrusive barrel....thought the Pershing was always "pointing" at him 8O

Good Morning,
I figured it out. Waylon had his muzzle on and reached up to sniff the muzzle brake of the Pershing's 90mm, ( easiest part of the tank to reach ). The muzzle brake gets caught in one of the openings on Waylon's muzzle and when he jumps down, his weight pulls the tank off of the desk. No maliciousness, just Life telling me to spend more time with my pup. Thank you, Gentlemen, the 'Palace' is safe and sound. I think all of the tanks will be after this last uproar. Waylon refuses to spend time in the Library at all now and just runs through on his way upstairs.
regards,
Painless
