Good Afternoon,
Alpha, I wish. *chuckles* As it is, I have a dinner with some friends who are flying back out to Oz and it will be tomorrow night before I start working on the next thing, detailing the mantlet.
warm regards,
Painless

Mine has taken a snail pace as well...have to remove the turret one more time to clean up some molding flaws...cap the LEDs somehow so there is no light bleed ...amongst other things... life just keeps getting in the way lol

The only silver lining is she runs...so I can play with her... I can't get over how much better she runs compared to the FoV
Go figure...guess like everything else... toys can have their own personalities too ;)

Carpe Diem Sir

Good Morning,
That is very cool looking in the photo and in the unfinished upper and turret. A little work like Hatch handles and a better bow MG and there's your Sherman, Herman. 30pds is cheap as chips too.

Got a neat proportional smoker from OzArmour today in the post. Only one more delivery coming and all of the pieces will be here. Alpha, I hear you on the seeming slowness sometimes. Even smaller builds like the M4A1 drag out it seems. Today, I was able to detail the mantlet's canvas cover clasps using a reference picture from the Sherman Minutia page. I took a moment after that to drill and pin the Commander's vane sight into place on the turret roof since the HL piece I used did not have the attachment bolts molded onto it. Pictures:

Looking good Painless.... almost makes me want to do a Historical... especially when it comes to that mantlet..the detail both you and fynsdad have done just makes it look so much better than plain
anyway I should be starting up on mine again soon... I just got a much needed supply of English ivy green paint...a point of concern as I thought I wouldn't be able to find it again

Carpe Diem Sir

Alpha,
The Devil is in the Details. It has always been so for me. Nothing in the post today + it already being one of those aching, empty days that I have no power over, kept me away from the hobby today. Tomorrow will be better, perhaps there will be parts and sunshine and quiet of soul and spirit.
Regards,
Painless
