Excellent job with the washes. They really do get the details to pop out and make an excellent tank even more three dimensional. Apologies on not looking at your unit markings before complimenting your work. ;o) Taken in the all in all, it really is a beautiful Tiger.

late for the party, man this was fun to read. I just bought a few of those fenders from tankmbau last night along With late real idler and sprocket for my ( to come) late tiger build. They look smashing, and ok priced. running good to, great video

Well the end is almost in site, paint job is pretty much finished; just the barrel cleaning rods and the sprocket hub caps to do. Since the last update i've completed the pin washes and applied streaking grime, some rain marks and very light rust marks on the sheet steel parts (skirts and exhaust covers). I've also dirtied the exhausts and the muzzle barrel. To finish I've very lightly oversprayed flat earth and added some earth effects on the running gear, the fenders and mud guards.

Next update will be in the display cabinet with a full crew (hopefully).

i have some material you could use to cover the exhaust pipes if you want some ?

I was wondering... I read on one of the other threads ... that the Taigens have a paint bleed problem... I'm just wondering if you had any problems with that?
I have yet to find it again.. to reply... but just thought I'd ask..because that's the first I've ever heard of the problem

Hey alpha, what do you mean by paint bleed? I've a couple of full metal taigens and whilst I'm not a massive fan of pre painted tanks they're better than most!

Hi tom... To be honest... I'm not exactly sure what the guy was talking about... I assume it was that he had problems repainting his Taigen.. and whatever was underneath his newly applied paint was bleeding through ... Personally I've never seen it happen with any factory painted tank.... as it probably wouldn't pass factory inspection as it could be determined to be toxic... because what ever chemical that was causing the bleed might get on the hands of some kid

Most factory painted tanks have a sealer so bleeding doesn't occur... anyway the post was rather vague... as he also mentioned how stripping the paint was incredibly difficult.. which if he did do it incorrectly could be his problem as well

I posted a similar reply to the guy... with some solutions to stop the bleeding problem...hopefully it helps him

Thanks for the input... I was pretty sure the Taigens are sealed just like other brands are
