Hi Alpha,
I'm just doing some 1/35 models in girls und panzer colors. It would be nice to do it in GuP colours for a laugh though. Pity it's aleeady got a zimmerit coat. Maybe if the coated the panzer IV in next series. Is there another series on the way?

Whilst I applaud your workmanship and dedication.....i still find it ridiculous that...Armortek ...charge an arm & a leg for their models,...but buyers still have to spend more time and money..to get the model right...

I think if they provide every upgrade with the kit the price would go through the roof. They could do this but then they woild loose a lot of business. They currently provide an aftermarket parts pack with the kit. Many builders are perfectly happy with the standard kit build. Yhe basic kit is still very very good. I just like to add little details that may nevr be noticed. Many of these parts i do not use as I enjoy making the parts. They are expensive kits but a heng long can also become an expensive kit if you get sucked into sll the upgrades. I consider the kits good value on the basis of time it takes to build one. I take it at a slow pace.

I must add yhat I do not work for Armortek. I have one or two issues with their models, just cannot remember what these are. Also customer service is best I have had from any business.

I can understand not doing this one in GUP colors ... hand painting that Puffer fish would be a killer ...took me six hours to get it right on my Heng Long ...a friend asked why I did it by hand and not with a decal... simply put...it's impossible because of the vision port ....1/6 might be a little easier because of the size ...but you would have to do four two on the turret and two on the schurzen
The other Oarai school marks would be easy... but those fish .................

At least the decals can be had in 1/35th...but this ArmorTek sure would leave an impression ...I would put money on it at club meets you would get more comments and questions than it done in Historical

Anyway...that's all rhetorical ...and Yes there is supposed to be another installment ... Not sure how the story will go or if it will be as good as the first...but supposedly it is about the team that lost to KuroMoriMiro... The Italian Team of Anzio ...one thing you can count on is seeing a number of rare and unusual variants of tanks in that one

Good points John... to me it's the nature of the beast (or Hobby) as no matter what scale or brand of tank you model... added cost is always part of any build or upgrade... It's all subjective and relative to the builder ...reason I generally put a cap on what I will spend on a build and try to stay within that boundary
As a well known member had on his commentary... "REMEMBER...IT'S A TOY TANK" basically meaning to me...the level at which is done is totally up to the builder.. and not the critiques that may come

Thats great. I watch it for the tanks not school girls in short skirts.
I have two new babies at home and their mum is not too happy about all the german WW11 stuff. I will do a cabinet for them with some colourful GuP stuff. I picked up some kits from japan at a good price that have the correct decals.
I do my 1/6 markings by hand also. Again decals no good with zimmerit and ciew ports.
I might produce a spare set of shurzen, one WW11 and one GuP style.

The tiger 1 I'm working on cost £2000 including every armortek option pack plus a new radio. I have bought no ugrade parts. All upgrades are self produced. Traded a couple of my parts for some I could'nt justify making. Best £2000 I ever spent.

The tanks are what got my attention...but after watching the movie several times... thought it wouldn't have really worked if they used guys for the characters... I think the personalities of the gals provided an element of interest...just because it's kind of illogical ...All in all though...the anime to me is very solid ..a lot of fun... and a great platform to build tanks from

If the schurzen is that easy to swap out ... that's a very cool idea to make a second set to swap out ... wondering what kind of power it would take to make a 1/6 Panzer drift ..............

More details added to
the cupola but still lots more to do. The view ports will have removable glass blocks, (clear resin)
I made just a small mold to work out best way to produce the parts from which I was able to complete the parts for my cupola. Depending on level of interest I might make a mold to produce multiple sets.

Hi John... Is that 212 on your Tiger? It's the same number Miho's sister (Maho) has on her Tiger ... nice details... I can see why several tankers like the larger scale
