Barry it's a work of art Almost a shame to paint it in the Future. You have achieved a level of realism that many can only dream of

Hi folks,

I have been making progress on the side armor. Both L&R ARTs "styrene blocks" completed and the left side has been scribed into the individual blocks. I have fabricated the fwd and aft fenders out of brass as well as the forward side plate sections. I still have a lot of work to do before the ARTs will be completed but I needed a fix so I stuck everything I have associated with the tanks main body together.

What i really needed was to see my progress before I start drilling the 868 holes needed for the bolts and rivets that hold the exterior sheets onto the ARTs.
Each ART has 8 bolts and 6 rivets and there are 62 ARTs.

Thanks for looking in,
Barry

Ahh all those holes to drill.... Reminds me of a project I have been working on with about 200 tracks that required 400 x 1mm holes this tank is so brilliantly done it really is a treat to check in on from time to time.
Tanks alot....

Tell ya what mate, this metamorphoses you are responsible for is a wider lesson for all of us as to what is possible if enough dedication is applied.
I can only imagine the pressure you must put yourself under to get the idea executed correctly and the painting to complete your effort which must be just so in order to live up to your high build achievement.

Rather you than me sunshine !!
