Soldered up a rear cage for the canvas back. Never done before. Well chuffed since it looks not too bad for 1st attempt.
Also built up interior and the perfect little hiding place for rx.
Starting to weigh quite a bit now lol
Think it needs more torque.
Steering is tight and no wobble now. Trial test No.2 video below

It might make a good platform for other builds, and the price really isn't that bad.

Looking closely at the transmission/drivetrain, it looks like the same drive/transmission components as the truck with a different chassis/body. Very clever reuse of existing components to make a new product. rather than using the new truck I would just order the existing truck and/or components, that's what I'm hoping to do with my Scammell Pioneer build.

When I was in the Army we had a truck called the M880, but it was really just a four wheel drive Dodge pickup. I was thinking the new truck might be good for something like that.

For those of you that have converted to servo steering and Lipo, have any of you run into servo twitching? Especially at high throttle?
I didn't have an issue before but now I have. Also tried more servos and they all do it. Very strange
