Yeah....me too....I would just like to catch air once lol...really like the way this thing runs though...I take it full speed most of the time when I take it outside...I'm using a Lipo...the stock Lion I never tried yet...seem to get the best performance from the ones I use already....did yours come with the Lion battery or the normal NiCd ?greengiant wrote:Alpha your last video is something I can achieve easily right now with mine and that's good enough for me. Plus it can still move around slowly.
It sure runs down batteries fast when run at high speed with all the weight I added to it. Will be upgrading to as close to a 5000 as I can find. The 2000 it came with gave out after being recharged about 40 times, the 3000 I have in it now is pretty much worn out from being recharged about 50 times in the short time its been in the tank.
Also will not be doing full speed runs to see if anything breaks over rough ground. I still have the plastic track and road wheel arms along with the stock gearboxes it came with and have had no cracks show up like others reported.
Kiaser....think you've come up with a good way to stay in shapeKiaser wrote:Right I see that is important information geometricokay this is opening up some inspiration
Alpha is showing us this creativity in one dimension he needs to look at the big picture

UUUUUHHHHHHHHHHHHH...Reason it's good to have more than one batterygreengiant wrote:Alpha It came with NiCad.
I prefer them because of my experience with lithium in power tools which are great but when they run out you have no warning that they are near the end of their charge and can put in a fresh one before that happens.
Not really Giant....some guys put alarms in theirs...I find that useless....for the most part because you can't really hear it when the tank is far away...and it requires a tad bit of energy to function...so you are just adding load lol....but for the most part....a lipo will give you signs it is weak...just like the old style battery...and usually has more than enough juice in it to bring your tank back to you ....I mean in an extreme situation...you could wait...shut her down...and in about an half hour be able to run again...lipos are interesting for sureNot much of a problem with something you have in your hand but if the tank is a way from you and the battery just runs out you have to go get it.
With NiCad's you can tell they are getting weak and drive the tank back to you.
UHHHHHHHHHHH...Not really Giant....lipos need to be kept charged....if they do go dead while in storage mode...they may not accept a charge again...I use all my tools lol...have to admit though...I don't feel the need for air tools that much anymore...the size advantage is negated by the new cordless tools...electric also has more power IMO...reason I use corded for jobs I know will take a day...as rechargables can putter out in about 4 or 5 hoursThe lithium do have one big advantage in that they hold their charge when not in use.
As far as run time on a freshly charged good battery I have noticed little difference between the two and I hardly ever use my corded power or air tools anymore except for really heavy duty work.
Saw it...looked great....need the link though lol...always take the link firstKiaser wrote:![]()
