Operation BAD Bovvy was a great success, had a great day out, and took more pics than I can remember. Thanks chaps!
On another note I took a quick look at the Tiger. It has metal gearboxes, so I stuck a 2.4ghz RX18 in there and ran it around. It detracks on one front sprocket, but I may be able to cure that by taking a link out. It's an airsoft tank so no recoil, and a few bits are missing. I am wondering whether to do it as a winter project as Tiger 131, and use it as a battlefield runaround/scenery tank? It won't be a museum piece, but it should look ok.
Any thoughts?

Our own Tiger 131 would be good - I hope you noted all the damage on the original. Alternatively, a battlefield run around would be a nice. Now that puts you no better off than before

My main reflection on a great day at Bovy is " There is a huge variety of tanks of various nations and shapes and sizes, both in 1/35 and 12" to the foot, so why are we 1/16 scale tankers so poorly done by?" And yes, I said TANKERS.

Okey, dokey, ,I'll stick '131' on a shelf until the dark evenings are upon us. I took loads of pics of the real one, and I am hoping that I can replicate the dents and shell damage. I happen to have lots of shades of desert paint so should be able to get close to the two tone camo colour.
If anyone has a turret smoke discharger bouncing around (left side if you were stood in the hatch looking forwards), I will need one. I have the right side one.

Those would be excellent, though plastic ones would be just as good. If you want to donate them to the cause they will be most welcome. You can bring them along the next time we have a meet, which will be September according to TK. There is no rush at all.
Cheers
