So that's the purpose of the rod through the exhaust end!

I see, too, Painless, that a bucket on each Tiger is required. I have one or two metal buckets, but I will need more.
Yup, it also stops Eddie Murphy from putting a banana in your tailpipe.

Good Afternoon all,
Herr Dr. Prof, I've seen photos of those bars in the exhausts both vertically and horizontally. A cheap and easy way to keep your engine from being cratered. Myself and Alpha had a great thing going back in the day about Buckets on Tanks, especially German Tanks. He thought it was weird initially but ended up making me a couple over the years. One is a fine, thin metal one in perfect scale that I have on my StuG Ausf B and the other is a replica Canvas Bucket that is on the B50 Pershing. I generally add a bucket now only on German Armor tho' I know that there are pics of them in use on all Nations equipment. Alan! Thank you again for looking in. Taking a break tonight. Earache and a slight fever so at home in my chair while the Pooches snooze next to me.
regards,
Painless

Good Evening,
Alan, thanks for being a part of the Bucket Brigade! This afternoon was soldering a plug on the Convoy Light and finding a free slot on the board to power it. The IR plug in worked. Always empty on these BB Cannon models. Of course, that was the moment that the replacement Smokers heating element packed it in. *laughes* Time to search.
regards,
Painless

Another in the bucket brigade. No German panzer of mine leaves the house without it's bucket and they all have their own one
You will see images of panzers that have been totally destroyed and you will almost always still see the bucket somewhere around the wreck

Hi Painless
A quick question about your convoy lights if i may
Did you use a resistor or just plugged it straight into a spare port on the MFU ?

Alan! Good Evening!,
Let me answer your question before I get into the cussing and soldering portion of this post. On other Tanks like those of MATO manufacture, I have used resistors to get the lighting redone and working when adding or repairing something electrical. On Heng Long and Taigen, I have always been able to solder on a plug and find a spare port on the MFU. No Resistor required. Taigen even has a port available for a light on their MFU now. Marked as such. It is for a Backup type of light so it only works when the tank is in Reverse. The same workaround of a spare port on the MFU will still work if you want your add on tail light or convoy light lit all of the time. OK? Good! ;0) The Smoker arrived today and of course, while still workable for an older Board, my MFU was like a 1.0 or summat. *laughs* I scratched my head a minute and dispensed with my hopeful idea of just plugging in the new(er) Smoker. Some Wire cutting, soldering, %$!#@, and sealing the solder job saw the old Smoker working again. I'll try to sit down and do the detail painting tomorrow now that this repair is out of the way.
regards,
Painless
