it's been a long wait to see this completed, but you have done an excellent job on it. Really like those radio's, you don't see many of those about.

Good afternoon, W.W.,
;o) There's a little bit of detail left but not much. I'll paint the crew and touch up the smaller things like the Radio headphones ( will have to paint under the magnifier ;o) while awaiting the markings. Then some weathering will see it done. It's been quite the build, more adventurous than most that I attempt. Thank you, sir.
regards,
Painless

Ed, Thank you, Doc. ;o) Today saw the last of the physical assembly. Figure painting, markings and weathering are all that is left on the list. The Scopes are removable. They use a rare earth magnet and a metal square, both glued into place, to mount. Same kind of thing that we all do to keep our half figures in the hatch ;o) I took the opportunity to touch up paint on the radio and finish painting the inside of the casemate in elfenbein ( what can be seen from the open hatches ;o) Pictures:

Paul, Ad Lav,
Thank you very much, gentlemen. ;o) It's complete. I'm going to give my eyes a day off then pick up painting figures again tomorrow. Peddinghaus is on the way for marking.

Painless

Painless, looking very fine sir!
If I may I'd like to offer a more reasonable alternative for your dry transfers....try a vinyl sign shop. They can print you multi color VERY thin vinyl "stickers" on clear vinyl that would look perfect! They'd be able to scale them in whatever size you would need to fit your Stug. Take them your 1/35th sheet and they'd be able to blow them up to 1/16th scale easy peasy. I've used them to print me stickers for my Trans Am restorations (1979, 1980 Trans Am decals are EX-PEN-SIVE!) and they were good enough to get me several wins at car shows.

Terry,
That is an excellent tip! I'm glad that you hung around with us ol' clankers and are going to get that new Jagdtiger here soon. This time around, a couple of Peddinghaus sets provided what I needed to get the markings such as were used on the 1/35 scale version. ;o)
with all regards,
Painless

Glad to help out a friend when I can. Just take your 1/35 scale stuff in and have them blown up to 1/16 scale! It shouldn't be more then like $20-$30, I hope that's doable.
