My Tiger Tank Project

They came with my Taigen metal hull upgrade from, I think, Forgebear. Buttery smooth suspension articulation and a pleasure to watch the road wheels as they crawl over sticks and stones and such. They look just like the torsion bars in factory photos of Tiger tanks under construction. I always set my tank's belly up on a small block when not in use to keep the tracks just barely off the shelf just to keep them fresh. Probably not necessary though but I've read about others doing that. My tank is very heavy.

Trust me my friend keeping the suspension unloaded when you are not running your Tank is absolutely essential unless you want your suspension to collapse under the constant imposed weight of the Tank on the suspension
A piece of polystyrene block or a wood offcut of the correct hight and width in a neutral colour supporting the tank with the tracks barely touching down and nobody will be any the wiser.

Yup. Exactly what I did. Also handy when testing settings for driving while it sits on the table hooked up to my laptop.

I've been resting mine on 4 by 2s for years: a cheap, but effective, droop deterrent.

Decided my Tiger needed some road dust from the Autumn journey through the Russian Steppe. I dug out my old Passche and sprayed a bit of weathering on the wheels and lower hull. Without the later side skirts the lower hull got pretty dirty. Current model weight is 14.2 lbs or 6.4 kilograms.

Your build has gone so far, it's insane. It's hard to believe a simple HL tiger turned into this. Superb work!

That’s kind of you to notice the transformation this tank has undergone. The only Heng Long blood left is the drive sprockets and upper hull.
