Found my next truck project

But so far this is the only image I can find of this variant so if anyone has more please post them? Danke.

Mine will be close but not exact. I'm just trying to make a cool ambulance, and not count the rivets. I may change the design on this one and make the cab completely separate from the box.

Then we might look at one of these

What do y'all think?
I have one extra truck I don't want. I was looking at selling, but it going to be M43 B1 ambulance. Looks quite cool

For this style body I'd be better off to print the whole thing, probably in several pieces

but the other style is much closer to what I already have so should be easier for a lazy old hippie like me.

Pending arrival of the shackles and a solution to the crate thing (build now or wait and try to print) I'm calling this truck done.

I'll get some mobius video of it in action with the light package and post that soon.

Before I start on an ambulance I have to get some work done on the Hetzer and then the 1/6 Mercedes is next.

I've had loads of fun with these trucks so far and I'm no where close to finished. You guys have really contributed some great stuff, and I can't wait to see more.

Perhaps I have missed it but does the "DasMicro Board" work with a Turnigy 6xs or a Turnigy 9x ?
That is either or both?
Shaun.

Would look well smart!
Would you like me to send you the .STL & .GCODE FILES to make these?
Image
I’ve chopped the cabs off & increased the scale to be exactly the same width as the HL truckImage
The gun turrets are not on either but I do have the files for them.

I found this today on Thingiverse

The detail is awesome, I've just started printing the cab.
There’s even a dash & steering wheel!
The windscreen pillars look a bit thin but apart from that it looks an awesome model.
It’s in 1/14 scale so all the files will need scaling to 87%.

Oh I’ve been a busy bunny today!
I’ve been channeling my Deuce cab today to fit on the HL truck chassis, it’s recessed by 10mm at the moment.
Looking at this pic, the bottom of the door is just below the top of the tyre (tire for our American friends).
Image
I’ve got mine the same but I feel I need to take it down about another 5mm.
What do you guys think??

I would say that there is a bigger gap between the running board and the bottom of the door on the real vehicle than on your print. Rather than the door being deeper, I think the running board needs to be lower.

I agree, and the front line of the door needs to be a bit further forward. From the side the front line of the door on the model is even with the front of the windscreen pillar, but on the print it's in the middle of the pillar. And could you print the headlight buckets as separate pieces? You plan to put LEDs in there, right? I would think it would be a lot easier to shape and wire the bucket with it off the truck.

But I like the hood and the slats on the side, and once you open up the brush-guards over the lights they're going to look great.
