You mean the "mushrooms" on top? Some of them had flat mushrooms. Some (earlier models I think) had the rectangular thingies on top of the mushrooms. The really early ones are just flat with no mushrooms. The mushrooms are IIRC additional vents.

Some stowage ideas. The stowage would hide the unpainted parts so I'm thinking of not repainting those areas anymore hahahaha!







The white panel is the battle board which has a number.

I think I'll make my life easier by marking this as a battalion commander's tank. Which means no chevrons, only numbers hehehehe

Yea the round things on top of the blow off panels. Always thought they were some kind of thing to vent heat buildup in the ammo locker.

Good place for stowage locations, I have seen pics with just that configuration on both sides with the tank thread sections used to protect the cooling system from small arms fire.

WOW ATC!!!! You're a dangerous Modeller ....Amazing result using those shaker cans ....can't even imagine how you would have done with an airbrush

Thanks Alpha! The paintjob looks better in the pix than in the flesh really. Having an airbrush wouldve produced better results but cleanup is going to be a PITA hahaha!

I haven't found the missing screw yet. I'll get one from the Leo 2A6 since that'll be my next project. I'll still be needing some screws though and will take a photo of a sample for you in case you got a proper spare.

As for the bucket, I think I'll scratchbuilding one of those coolers instead

Does Hobby Engine sell separately the stowage stuff for their M1? I'd like to have a set to solve my stowage issue.

But maybe someone who has on old one they have sitting around could give you some

I solved some of that problem somewhat by just cutting out rough shapes of stuff and then doing canvas like covers, stiffened with white glue, that hide the fact that there is really nothing under what looks like things, with canvas over, them tied to the racks.

When dried stiff removed and painted them then reinstalled with just small dots of glue so they can be easily removed if I find some proper stowage items that I want to add later and be visible.

Don't know about the cleanup being a PITA lol....at least when you airbrush there isn't a huge rack to put away lol....but yeah...there is a lot to be done when cleaning...especially the dang color bottles

I'm with Giant on the Stowage....there's a lot of things you can do with stuff you use around the house...paper towels and toilet paper make great tarps (rolled or laid out)...boxes can be made with plain paper ...just paint them once you got them looking like cartons...EBAY has a bunch of sellers with different stowage items too...You're already lucky as you have spare bogies

The bags are wot I need as well as the ammo cans. Camo netting and tarps are easy to do but it's not all tarps and netting the crew carries ahehe.... Anyone has an MRE box template I can copy and print out?

I don't need a rack to store the paint spray cans because these get exhausted almost always during a paint session hahahaha!
