Good Afternoon, M. Tox!
Thank you for looking at the in progress pics for this Tank. Your work and 3D designs are inspirational. Like many, I use Tamiya Grey primer for Allied Armor. It is very satisfactory. For German Armor, I have switched from Tamiyas Hull Red to Rustoleum Dark Red primer. It is fast drying and coats well. It helps the Tamiya Dark Yellow achieve a deeper tone. Almost like the Model Masters but not quite. Thank you again for looking in.

I find your thread very inspirational as I've been working on a King Tiger for years now (), it's a Henschel turret though and it's a much easier build, I did not had the guts to do the Zimmer it, being from Atak or with putty... Too afraid to mess the tank!

Thank you for the info regarding the primer you use, I really like the color and yeah it seems to work very well with the basecoat!
Unfortunately Rustoleum paints are hard to find here and the few times I saw them in store, I don't remember that particular primer.

MonsieurTox: Like Painless, I have used Rustoleum primers often with fine results. However, in the past year or so, I have started using the large bottles of Vallejo primers from Spain. They are serving me well both as primer, and I have also used them as finish coats! For example, on my Chaffee, I primed with Vallejo black and then used Vallejo Olive Drab for finish coats.

Good Afternoon,
Finally had a little free time after the Winter-Proofing was complete on the Homestead for this year. I looked at the mounting types for the new HL suspension arm and discovered that they too use a grub screw to secure the axle in place. The roadwheels as noted before come with double bearings and will run much smoother than the plastic wheel set on the Asiatam suspension arms. Weight has increased noticeably with all of the running gear and tracks being metal now. Should sound fearsome once on the move. More work left: paint touchups and a rear Convoy light to install then it should be time to move on to the new King Tiger portion of this Build.

Looking really good mate no not the feet but the tank

Thanks for looking in! Close now to completing this first King Tiger. Some Paint and Weathering required as well as a few extra detail parts. No love for the Foundation!? Heh Heh! No Problem since it is about the King Tiger not my aching knee and back.

Ah, yes! Diclofenac: an NSAID. Those who use it and survive find it quite effective.
