Not sure how wise that quote is. ;)

When I get home would you like some pics of my Jagdtiger wiring?

There has to be a way to make it work.
Im still concerned that I will have no fire sound after all this, but thats not the end of the world.

As another wise member recently said................Im not letting a damn toy tank beat me.

Following with great interest Mr B - electrics resolution as well as the build.
I have a plan B - if you don't achieve full success that inspires me I will put the T90 unit in my HL königstiger which is a straight swap (I hope).

Not sure it will help mate, but I appreciate the offer.
I still have the Taigen Tiger here, and I got the thing fully functional when it was connected into that, so its not the unit.
Has to be a way, I just have to keep the faith until all options are exhausted.
It has wounded me though...............................

Can you crank up some Gloria Marsch Dorothee? And refocus your energy on this pesky little control board.....

Herman if you don't sort out the wiring and you are determined to use the new Heng Long setup it might be easier and faster to buy a cheap complete new tank with the latest radio and rx18 and remove the bits and transfer them to your jagdtiger. I purchased one with free shipping for less than $90.00 US with this end in mind

Good call mate and certainly an option, but as I'm using the Taigen recoil unit as plenty have before, I believe the problem would remain.
I should rephrase my question now to be
How do it get a Taigen recoil /elevation unit to work off the latest HL radio?

For sure if a body buys the entire set up from HAYA or out of a donor tank and they have an HL recoil or bb unit it will work easy.
It even seems that the Taigen system works in the older gen RX 18. -2.4G systems .
It's just a nightmare in the new ones.

HERMAN BIX wrote:Yip, same as mine but I dont need the rotation.
I really did believe that having the complete set up of trans, rec, socket and cable would give me life, but no.

Pic shows the way the black-black-red wires taken out of the plug & placed independently.
The 2-pin socket above the black wire gives me elevation but uncontrolled from the transmitter.
Okay, I think I've figured out how you need to pin these out. Using this photo as a reference, it looks like the topmost 2-pin plug should be for the elevation motor, the next 2-pin plug should be empty (it'd be turret rotation), the bottom 2-pin plug should be for the recoil motor, and the 3-pin plug will be for the headlights and machinegun.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think the positive and negative on the elevation motor should match up with the red and black wires in the 8-pin plug and the positive and negative on the recoil motor should match up with the green and brown in the 8-pin plug. It'd be best to confirm the signal and polarity with a multimeter beforehand if you can, but I think if you remove the white wire from between the two motors and run a new separate (red) wire from the appropriate terminal on the green motor that should give you the connections you need to use the Taigen unit with the new Heng Long MFU.
Still working through this, but the MG fire sound works off the Tx unit. if you mean an LED red display then its no need as Im fitting an Aber brass one.
To get the cannon to fire and recoil I hold the top right button(marked bullet shooting on the Tx) and raise the left stick.
Cannon 'fires' and recoils but no sound for this.

If I contact the elevation wire to either of the pins in the middle 2-pin it functions perfectly, but uncontrolled from the Tx.
I will remove the entire unit from the mounts and try your theory on separate power supplies.
Has to be that H/L have made these new systems very different to the older ones without interacting with Taigens unit when doing so.

Hell, I might even try emailing Taigen to see if THEY can figure it out so they sell more recoil units :haha:
Worst that can happen is that they never answer.............

Well, Im not getting an elmod, and this thing has pissed me off that bad that I want to succeed just to spite it :-< :-< :-< :-<

Found this.

http://rctanksaustralia.com/forum/viewt ... a&start=10

Its for use with an ASP board, but the theory is what Im on to.
In line with Mr Raminators recommended steps, the statement that its a cost cutting measure to wire them like this kind of explains things.
I will go back in order to go forward and remove the taigen wiring & start again.
Makes sense to have them into individual plugs for sure.
Are you able to confirm from your Tiger which of the 3-2-2-2 plugs are for what function please?
Just want to check the actual T-90 / New HL functions are from which sockets.
I have stock T90 controls with this Taigen unit, so once I know what sockets should do what, I can wire up and plug in accordingly.
The donor Taigen Tiger at least proved my fitting worked, and got the barrel into forward battery.
But now its a pioneering expedition :/ :/
