No mate, the log is alive & lying prone on the building desk. Its been on a couple of times for a test run, I am going to use a chain for the front and undecided on a rope or chain for the rear.
Have helmets etc to stow as well.
The track tow cable pixie is the one I really need a visit from to get me over the 'hump'
A mental block that is.
Gin'd around on the exhausts a bit to add character. Bit of Tamiya smoke stain pastel, and a bit of rust on the difuser plates, but not to much.

I think your exhausts look fine Herman...maybe just a touch more black on the inner intake hoses ...but really it looks dang good right now... about those cables... have you thought about the trick CupofTea offered up awhile ago.... I copied him on my KV2 build using windings from a toy motor... I'm sure you have some laying around lol... just open one of the smaller motors... take out all the wire... put it in a drill and wind away...the copper is great... more flexible than the ones sold on the market... Cup did the ends using shrink wrap... I should have copied that as they look much better as I tried using aluminum to sleeve the ends instead ;)

Yes mate I have the cable sorted, but the mounts are causing the mental constipation !
I got a channel profile in brass that is a fraction to big, but I reckon it will work.
I have "ALOOOMINUM TOOB"(!!) that will serve as the crimps for the loops at each end, its just the mounts.

Herman,
The weathering is coming along beautifully. Any more thoughts on the Diorama base? ( Shack front vs full shack? )
regards,
Painless

I am stuck with the same problem. I may have a go with styrene?
Also thought about cutting up the moulded tamiya mounts and reusing them???

I thought or drilling the H/L mounts and threading the picture wire through them, but the small plastic mounts just did not take to the drilling so close beside each other for the cable.
I would honestly take the option of using a tamiya cable set, but I cant get one of those anyway.
I will try this channel brass & see how it goes with blue-tack to place them.
