I know what you mean mate, I was relegated out of the house because of the mess I was making (I thought it added character) and into a shed, that now looks a little on the small side if all this stuff comes true.

I have a feeling there might be a FAMO being released by someone as Asiatam are releasing a metal track set, also tracks and sprockets for th KV and Elephant

There's enough conversion possibilites with this one tank to keep us busy for years. I've always wanted an M-10 because that was my first 1/35 scale tank when I was a kid.

heres the email i just received from janey at Mato in China.

Dear Andy,

Thanks for your e-mail. Yes, we have spoken to each other in the past. I am glad to get in touch with you again.

We are pleased to hear that you like Sherman. We have developed 16 versions of Sherman already and upgrade kits. We will release them each period of time.

We are also considering to develop other products like which you said. Thanks for the information for us.

I will contact with you again once the Sherman is ready.

Best regards,
Janey

SIXTEEN versions of sherman???? Has this woman not heard of a recession? More importantly, has she not heard of my wife? Dunno about a new shed, anyone got a disused aircraft hanger going cheap?

Ian, thanks for that info on the Famo tracks, they look REAL good ,you've gotta be right, why make the tracks if you don't have anything to put them on unless they're thinking of scratch builders?  Naw, wouldn't be the market  just for that would there?  interesting times ahead. Just hope my heart/bank balance/marriage,  can take it.  :)

I agree about the shed thing Tony, I'm making mine a little home from home just in case. I mean, whats the problem in soldering on the glass dining room table?  Geeze, no sense of humour some women.

Can someone explain to me the differences between the Heng Long and Mato 1/16 tanks? The tx's look the same, the shells look the same, and even the packaging looks similar. Do they differ inside, or do they have the same gearboxes, boards etc?
