Good looking mod. :thumbup:

I tried putting my DIY heater element into the exhaust which worked well, apart from melting the plastic. :{

Have a look http://www.rctankwarfare.co.uk/forums/v ... f=1&t=8045" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Smoke still escapes and comes out of the shield like you mentioned. I take it you've piped right up to the exhaust outlet at the top, how did you get round the top mounted screw?

i cut the original top of the exhaust and used a pot rivet head as an outlet, looks very realistic and is metal, so virtually another metal mod by myself, it works very well but am tempted to run 2 smoke generators! as i think it would work very well with the mod !!!! any one interested is welcome to the exhausts i will give them to the person who wants them as im going to do a mod with metal exhausts, i will keep updated about this

are the modellbau driveshaft supports with roller bearings worth buying ? one of the biggest problems ive had is wabble in the drivewheels as the shaft is wobbly?

Hello Stevie , A , Yes the driveshaft supports are worth having - they reduce the load on the bushes a lot :thumbup:
  • As for twin battery packs , there is nothing to stop you ! Lol . - I have 5000's too , but will only use one at a time as i think that hauling extra weight about only stresses the gearboxes and chassis without any real purpose . It takes what , maybe 20 seconds to change packs ? (Yay , Asiatam hull ;D )
- A 5000 will give over an hours runtime anyway , plenty , and you still have the backup :thumbup:

superb, its all money but tbh its worth it haha, id like to have the twin setup just for the sake of it, im going asiatam aswell but would rather have it so i could charge it while there still in the hull and just use it for however long haha ather than pulling batteries out and in, and the added weight just adds to realism and makes the suspension look like it does something haha in my books anyway, im gonna have extra lights and a second smoke genny runing in my tank aswell so extra powers good, what charger do you use as i still have the standard and its shit haha cheeers

Sorry for the late reply Steve , I take it you have the cast metal type ? - If so you can undo the grub screw holding the axles in the adjuster block , pull out the axle , fit the blocks and reinsert the axles from the outside . :crazy:
  • Image
Mine came already fitted but this shows where the screw is , It is a fiddle but unless someone else that has done the conversion can say otherwise , it is all I can suggest :problem:
  • . . . I have an 'IMAX' smart charger- I got from Dave Forgebear , (you can ask other folks what they use)
All the best , and a happy crimbo , B . :wave:

wish id waited for your reply :L haaaa i got really pissed off and made the hole bigger so not exactly tidiest job :( although they are fitted correctly, i squeezed them through but im not joking when i say i think my tanks been on the piss, NOTHING on it lines up whatsoever every axles a different length and every suspension arms gone a wonder, ive fitted a set of metals and it makes such a difference even to look at by eye, all i need now is the axles and ill be on my way agaain, but seriously thinking of just buying an asiatam hull :( and ahhh christmas was pooor im still rough now haha
