Now these pics show the aerial fitted, on towards the front of the tank, as the front sprockets have now been moved up this makes the tracks far too close to the track guards and so to
rectify this cut two slots as shown this will enable me to heat underneath and bend up just a tad , and then i shall be able to add the extra bits , these will be in the next batch of piccys, whilst there i decided to remove one of the front headlamps and just leave the stump with some wires sticking out but then noticed that these fittings were ,yes you guessed it wrong,,,,so i shall make up the new one shortly , as the remaining lamp is too stay i had to cut the front cover off and now need too make a new front face , as i have said before this tank will be a battler so the remaining
lamp will fitted back into it,s original holder as this is quite strong......quick nip to the rear of tank shows that i have removed the plastic spring and shall replace with a wire one from telephone cable................

Now the front track guards have been heated and bend up a small amount,, i was able to add the missing side pieces and then add the spring retainers and springs , the rear springs also added,
the missing lamp stump added this from plastic rod /card and some wire,.........the lamp that i retained has had a new face , this i feel makes the lamp the right size as left in it,s original shape it ,s too large...........the front guards have a thin line on them this was removed and new hinges will be made, and as these will not be functioning they will be glued in place...........

In these pics the front track guard pins have been added, and the inside of the tank gutted , turned over and the unwanted holes filled,...................................the rear idlers are from asiatam and i treated myself to a cnc cut alloy muzzle brake ,........................as this would be most difficult too make,............the F2 shape is not easy...........

Hi Fleshy....amazing detail.....where do you get the info?.....sometimes I find that books apon books never give the right detail, or the picture justs misses the bit you want....or colour?.....

Thanks Nic , i have quite a number of books , and what i tend too do is go through them all ,,only looking for that part that i am dealing with ,...yes this takes more time but as you can see it pays dividends ........talk ABOUT MISSING BITS ,it it hard to find close up pics of real tanks at war but when you do there is nearly always somebody having there piccy took and stood right where you would like too see,.........

Yes!....always the bit you want is never in shot...and ALL the referance books seem to use the same pic!....but now and again you find a book that gives you a new view and it completely changes .....that one pic sometimes makes the mod you are trying to do worth while.....as drawings are vague, and never reliable(I have been caught out)

Nic......anyway, smashing build
