That is really looking great! Good job on the hatches. I have made the basic hull for my LVT 4, and I am working on the sponsons now. I'll start another thread when I get to a point worth taking pictures of it.

Hi had one of those days . Ive removed the plywood base that was vissible as it was realy bugging me and looked to thick .I still have one internal piece of plywood but the bottom piece now is styrene. I have started adding the struts to the sides these need a bit of milliput weld added and smoothing down to more of an angle.

This is just an idea to make the scoops . Ive used brass strip , which Ive made a press to squash it into the shape you see . Its only ply with a couple of steel bars in it so it probaly wants making from something substantional. But Im just test this idea first to see if they can be added to the Mato Sherman tracks . I did think of compleatly re making the middle piece with the scoops on but Im not to keen Id rather atach them to the Sherman ones . I did try soldiering them to a base plate but my soldering irons tips not fine enougth .

The scoops are just layed on the tracks for the photo ????

Nice one Andy, I was trying similar when we were going for Pnz 3 tracks, but I havnt made any more. Any chance of a pic of your Press ? As for fixing them ? maybe you could cut slots in the shermans grip ?
