Hi Guys A bit more info If you have Darkiths sytems and were wondering if these systems from Rccommaned are the same IMO there different ,
the Main difference is will do this in order I found
1,There is no 5volt wire to power up the board .
2,Different Layout of tracks on board
3,3 volt power out put for sound card

Now I Dont know if the Chips are the same (Is this the main bit ?)
For me there is enough changes to say there not a copy,Bit like your choice of car they all have the same internal combustion engine but different bodys.
These are Just My thoughts and dont want to start another its copy its not argument.
So if you were to buy Rccommaned systems They do work very much like Darkiths Systems have Better sounds (and I think they can be modified)also they can Be mixed .You can use the Darkith apples with this system(can also use Tamiya) But they also work the other way round you can swop over any part you want (but you will have to alter the wiring slightly).
Bubbajoexx Helped me sort out the problems he also told me he has New sound cards which fit either system (Darkith or Rcccommaned But you will have use 2 AAA batteries to power them on Darkiths )they are Micro SD cards Have 5 sounds ,anyone with RC2HL Which has 3 outputs from the board but only 2 sounds from Darkiths sound card Plus you are using after market radio 4 channel plus if you have extra channels on you radio you could fit servo switches and use all five sounds ,from the Board you have Hit /fire and death ,You could add commands being shouted or even M.G fire,It may even be posible to have track nosies or engine, this would be upto some genius working it out.

Regards pete

P.S back to the honey do list now

I'll email the sd card contents to you a bit later. I've got family coming round for a bit.

Speak to you soon mate,

Hey mate, you've got to keep your wife happy.
No problem with the pic's Pete. Your work so far has been astonishing. You're making things work that I couldn't. You've got skills that are beneficial to all of us. A big well done from me mate. Seriously, a big well done.
Regarding the sd card. I've popped the contents onto my desktop, ready to email it to you. The thing is it's reporting content of 413mb !!!. If I email it to you it might take ages to come through.
It's ready to go. Let me know if you want me to do it.

My pleasure mate,
I'm still not convinced that all the contents of the card are going to come through.
The card folder reports 3000 files !!!. The email contains 5 attachments. So I don't know what's going on there.
I'm normally quite good with this stuff. But this Voodoo has got me baffled.
Debbie told me you can buy a "mobile card reader" for about a tenner. Maybe that's the way to go Pete.

Let me know,

Nick.

well what can i say got the main boards fixed
the tank seems to function ie super spin is gone i have intermittent lights on the tower but only with initial power up then nothing
the song button cuts out the main board sound and then hisses so im guessing the sound card is fubared the wiring in to the sd card is getting hot not real hot but warm enough to be worrying 8O
