Hi
New to all this, just got the Tiger 1, when running it there was a clicking noise coming from it when turning, thought it was a gear at first, but on looking I found that one of the idlers wheels had a chip out of it, the drive wheels and the idlers have play in them?, would like to take the track off but don't know where to start.

Best way to remove the tracks from a tiger 1 is to remove the center of the drive sprocket (this is only a push fitting so pulls out easily) & theres either a philips screw or an allen bolt in there to undo then pull off the drove sprocket,
then put a screwdriver through the hole in the center of the idler wheels and unscrew them & the tracks should come straight off.

Hi All

I've just had the Tiger 1 and would like to take it apart, where should I start, and repaint it in camouflage any one got a colour plan,
I will be hand painting not air brush.

I've taken one of the tracks off to try and mend or replace a broken idler wheel, chunk missing, I think its plastic?.

Regards

Hi Chris, Great job on your Tiger to date, I just ordered some parts to complete my Tiger this evening. Should be waiting for me when I get home from holidays. Hopefully that will be the end of spending on this model. Looking forward to running it.
Was interested to see you were able to get some dent damage into the exhaust covers and stowage bins. Tried heating with a hairdryer but did'nt soften. What did you use?
When I added the clamps for spare links to my turret I found that the bottom holders foul with the tow cable brackets when the turret rotates. Did you have this problem?
