well, my last suggestion is if you can, remove EVERYTHING (tramsitter to the gearboxes) except hull and wheels and then replace EVERYTHING (with a known working system) ALL at same time.

Real PITA but then you can tell for sure it is not the hull or tracks or wheels. It is money and time, but you can get a whole new rx18 trans/rx/dmd from:

althought for the price, you may just want to buy another tank and strip it......

One thing though,do you have any of the aviation type magnets holding hull sections together? This could cause interference if to close to motor or leads.Other wise follow Xrads suggestion.Man this is one crazy problem,Blake

OK guys, here we goooo. lol. I do not have magnets for the hull. I use the stock asiatam clip system. As for the other suggestion, I removed all the gear from my Tiger 1 and installed it to the Pz III...same problem. This is absolutely insane and I may cry out of frustration....It just makes no sense at all from an electrical point of view. A system works correctly in one tanks hull and incorrectly in another.....My head hurts.

You say 'ALL the gear"...

Do you mean you exchanged 'All the electronics ..every bit and the transmitter' AND ALL the wiring harnesses and connectors(because HL is known for screws through harnesses and BAD harness solder joints!!

Or do you mean that you exchanged 'everything' EXCEPT the motors, gearboxes, hull, wheels , and tracks?

Sorry to keep asking. This is very interesting problem.

I mean everything! I changed every piece of the electrics. Now here is something I just tried on the advice of a friend. I took the upper hull off and marked one link on each side and made them even. I ran the tracks one full revolution at full throttle and did this 3 times to be sure. After each try, the left side track was ahead of the right by 14 links. This is with the transmitter trim fully to the left! Now, I am convinced it is an electrical issue. Voltage to both motors measured the same...and I tried this using 2 sets of motors as well.....Anyone???

Right side track has a bent pin or maybe two.causing the track to bind, this creates more drag and that causes the tracks to be out of synchronization ? Or is is possible to install the track backwards on the PZRIII? It has to be tracks,if the drive train was equal in the other tank. Blake

Ok, so you feel it has to be in the tracks? the other tank runs equal. This is clear as day that the left side is ahead of the right....Man, this getting ore nuts by the minute.

If it is a track pin issue or a track issue remove tracks and check for bad link.Understand that I have a TIGER and Jagdpanther and have not had these issues. That being said I also no that track pins are easy to bend and this could cause binding,at this point I am going nutz trying to figure this one out.But you have changed every thing but the tracks, what else is left? I just don't know....The thing that's bugging me most is if I start the tank and move the trim to the right, this thing actually starts to do a spin move towards the right side. I am seriously considering spending the money to ship this thing to California and let Phil have a crack at it. It's got me stupid at this point.
Also, I removed the tracks a little while ago and checked each link....I found nothing wrong there either....
I appreciate all of the help you guys are trying to give here, believe me. I feel bad to be driving everyone nuts with this thing. But I do thank you all

It is the best thing about this forum, and these problem's keep the interest alive.Phil is a very skilled person and I can understand your frustration.I have a gun system that has cost well over 240.00 and it still does not work correctly, the vendor I purchased it from has given up long ago,I have been waiting since March for the new system to replace the one I have.I went through all kinds of trouble,I disassembled the turret so many times the screws would not hold any longer creating another problem, fried my RX18 and Receiver board.not to mention burnt wiring.check this out.
