Saumur’s PZ III turret box, looks to have been repaired along the bottom edge, and apparently just resting on the upper hull roof…

Interesting.

Here's a walkaround for the same tank at Saumur.

The shape does seem a bit different but the bin is also not attached to the rear of the turret.

Here is a picture with the bin attached.

Looks to be a different style of bin.

That looks like a Panzer IV bin.

Great to see another initial build under way. I am half way through building one from a Tamiya but there are two tanks I want to finish before a restart. Building a initial is a deep rabbit hole. If you would like,I could try to make a list of things to change from the Tiger you have plus Jimster and Rob59 might help as well if they have time. Might avoid you wasting time and money. Anyway, welcome and happy tanking. :S

A good simplistic snapshot of the first Tigers in action.
Can see by eye the visual differences like mudguards & tow cable positioning.

It sure is, I think I read just about every post concerning Jimster’s impressive creation.

Sorry for dragging us down a turret bin rabbit hole!

Haha, thanks for your patience Mr Bix

As I intended to present this initial Tiger in its winter garb it seemed only right to remove that leading outside road wheel from each side. From what I could see the standard HL plastic wheels would need a heck of a lot of work for this mod, so I opted for the excellent Taigen metal versions. A bit of hacksaw work and the addition of a drilled washer got the result I was after. Would probably look more authentic with a centre hub cover ...
