Late Production Jagdtiger
Re: Late Production Jagdtiger
Maybe these JT's are a bit too expensive and that could be the reason not seeing much of them?
Back in the days, there weren't much of them either....

Thank you for the kind words!! Very nice stuff you've got there!! I like no mudguards!!Rob59 wrote:Looks damn good!
I do have one of those monsters on the shelf too.
Will also take some of the side skirts off, not sure yet if I take m all off.
Maybe I will leave a few on like I did with some of my KöTi‘s.
Rob
Id really like to do one with removable mudguards. Ive got a set of mato kt fenders laying around. I pulled them out but theyd be short on here. I put mato fenders on my tamiya tiger 1 and they are removable. So the solution was to add a production turret KT to the list which I did hahahahaha

Thank you Mr Bix!!HERMAN BIX wrote:Considering the availability and massive allure of the mighty JT, I'm surprised more are not done. (with or without mudguards!)
Carry on Mr '86, you're certainly in the right spot for sure.
Yeah, now they are around the same price as all the other torros motion rc sells here in the US. They've been higher or unavailable in the past.
Its just the allure of them for me. Once I read the history I was disappointed.... pushed me towards the ferdinand which also sucks but atleast killed a bunch of stuff. But I still love the jagdtigers!!
The one road march was like 25km 6 jagdtigers set out 4 broke down. Them boys from 653 were hard. They got the ones with the faulty steering gears. Non stop issues.
I appreciate the kind words!!

I think Rob is correct in saying that the cost of the JT puts people off. I absolutely love mine but I bought it used. To get a new one up to Canada from the US or Germany you are looking at least $1500 when shipping and taxes are factored in. I doubt most people who might only buy a couple of RC tanks are going to pay that for what they might consider an oddball tank. Far more likely to go for a Tiger, Panther, Sherman or T-34. It's only us truly insane on here that would have them in their huge collections

Yeah that make total sense if they are that high. My first one was direct for torro around $700. Thats my most expensive model. Hooben elefant #2 from China. All the rest I got used. All the rest get after this will be used also hahahahaPanzermechaniker wrote:I think Rob is correct in saying that the cost of the JT puts people off. I absolutely love mine but I bought it used. Re: Late Production Jagdtiger
I once could buy a HL Panzer III for…..€10….so I did.
Customized it with home-made metal Schürzen all the way, turret and hull.
Wasn‘t even finished when I got an offer of €400.
Sold it.
Added €200 back than and got me the Torro JT in camo with recoil.
Otherwise I never would have bought such an expensive model at all.
