I have this recoil and elevation in my far from finished FT.

Thanks, Paul, it looks interesting.
I want to design a recoil with the servos easily accessible after the turret parts are glued together.
Also, I want to do a few other mods to the turret:
Instead of gluing the turret ring gear to the base plate, I want to print it in nylon and make it detachable.
With a gun sight, I want it to be detachable too, so I can swap it with IR diode/emitter for battle (by using a 2.5mm audio jack).

It is XT60 to XT30, I bought it on Aliexpress
You can buy XT60 to XT60 as well.

Unfortunately could not find anything with both XT60 & XT30 on one board. I'm thinking of designing one at some stage with a couple of fuses and a line for the power switch.
Thank you!

Balnciers, nothing here, it is not visible, so I just painted them black.

That looks great! I've started building this one myself, but as a non-RC, scale 1:16 conversion. The tracks in the photo are 1:16, the turret however is 1:10 - as a test project for filaments. I'll start my own thread as soon as I'm picking up this project again. I'll be coming back here for inspiration on your finishing choices & techniques.

Thanks :)
Is the turret printed with filament as well? It looks good.
To be honest, I'm not sure about this model in 1/16, too many small details.
Also model is great in general, but I found some small details are not so accurate. If you want an accurate scale model, there are some tweaks that need to be done.
Luckily, I bought a 1/16 Tacom model a few years back for the static scale model.

Some small updates with the main drive train parts.
After a bit of extra sanding, I airbrushed it with the final coat of black primer.

I want to build FT17 fighting for the Spanish Republicans in the Spanish Civil War. So it would be one tone camo with verde oscuro.
In preparation for painting, I did preshading with dry-brushing.
