Also, thank you, everyone, for all your kind comments and helpful advice! When I see the quality of work that all of you guys produce, i strive to someday have my tanks look as well! Its a fantastic hobby and I never thought id enjoy it as much as I do, I like a slow burn project as work-life balance gets difficult, to say the least!

Onto a new day while I have free time, I've decided to alter the location of the antenna tube to the correct side, so I got the dremmil and AK putty out, also filled a few more holes while im at it!

jfulls94: your experience in working on your fine Tiger makes clear that at least a significant number of RC tankers appreciate more kit-like RC tanks with separately-cast parts for all or most of the details. Perhaps having to compromise with those who want a finished RC tank out of the box, TongDe and Coolbank nonetheless seem to be headed a bit in that direction.

Yes as I progress i started to pick up on all the moulded parts, and im not a fan, the effort will hopefully be worth it in the end, im terrible at using the filler but id rather a slightly uneaven finish than looing at all the moulded parts.

Little update: deleted the port side antenna tube, tested fitted the port side cable and yet another coat of paint to cover it all. Also I bent and shot some bullets at my fenders ... 1st time for me was actually fun! Next step is to get to work on the wheels, idlers and sprockets, they need fully stripped of paint and repainted as they where brush painted very thick.

I really like how she's coming along.

The rear "S-minen" that mount above the rear wall are a total PITA. I can't count how many times I've had to re-glue them back on. I'm thinking of running small metal pins in them so as not to rely on just glue and the fragile mounting position.

Tell me about it. It's even worse trying to keep them attached to the corners on the Tamiya Tiger as the top plate of the lower hull is what you remove to get access to the innards and they always get knocked off removing and re-installing it. JB Weld solved that issue once and for all
